It has been a long time since I updated this blog. I was totally busy with so many things and updating my personal blog has to be sacrificed. Anyway I just thought I will let you guys and girls know about the Internet Marketing Seminar which is being held at Chinagmai, Thailand.

Hope you guys and gals remember about my post with pictures of Bangkok SEO meeting we had last year. The webmasters in Bangkok are planning for a second seo meet in Bangkok soon. I have many questions about search engine optimization. One of my sites which is two years old and which got a PR7 link pointing towards it actually dropped its ranking for last three months. Yesterday, all of a sudden it is on the number 1 spot for its desired keyword. What is going on? Second thing, I think google’s nofollow attribute did not stop spammers and the comment spam is altime high now. Many webmasters believe that rel=”nofollow” tag actually did not help at all. Infact many honest webmasters lost a chance to get a decent link for their efforts to contribute some real good discussions.

Today I received an email allegedly from Amazon with a subject tagline read as Account Information. Since I have an amazon account I read the full email. The email said that my amazon account was compramised and I need to immediately visit the amazon site and login. Here comes the scam. When you click on www.amazon.com in the email it redirects you to a different site. Infact the text is not linked to amazon.com. Here is the full emai which I received today.

We are contacting you to inform you that our Account Review Team identified some unusual activity in your account. In accordance with Amazon’s User Agreement and to ensure that your account has not been compromised, access to your account was limited. Your account access will remain limited until this issue has been resolved. To secure your account and quickly restore full access, we may require some additional information from you for the following reason: We have been notified that a card associated with your account has been reported as lost or stolen, or that there were additional problems with your card.
This process is mandatory, and if not completed within the nearest time your account or credit card may be subject for temporary suspension.

Now, experienced webmasters may not fall for such scams. But newbie webmasters often fall for such dirty scams. I am sure amazon will soon take some action against this.

I just signed-up for myspace and built my myspace page. I was bit late I guess, because I didn’t get to choose the name Bangkok Baby for myspace short url. Someone already took that name at myspace. But hey, it is nice to see that there are other Thai girls on myspace. Anyway I got a similar name, that is Bangkok Babe.
